It is that time in marathon training where you trial out different nutrition strategies and clothing choices for race day. The runs are getting longer (and some are getting faster) so preparation is KEY. It is important to have time to see what works and what doesn’t.
I tend to wear a running belt during marathon training so that I can stash my snacks; PRIORITYYYY. So when FITBURY got in contact about sending me one to try out, I happily accepted.
The Fitbury pack comes with both the running belt and a small carry-case that contains bluetooth headphones. This kit is great for those training for longer distances, where you may need to carry extra fuel and are looking for the right gear.
Running belt.
First up, this belt fits snugly against your waist so that there is no movement when you are running. You can also change the size of the belt by tightening or loosening the strap to fit your body shape. With two small zips on the front, you can securely fit in a phone, your energy gels and some sweets, whatever you may fancy inside! You also have a small clip attached in one of the pockets, which is where you may attach your keys to and place them into your belt.
Headphones.
The carry-case is nice and compact, great for taking around with you. It stops the headphones from getting damaged, as it quite a hardy case. Inside are the bluetooth headphones, which very easily pairs with your phone/device. The shape of the headphones can be changed to fit the size of your ear, so no worries there! They fit snugly around the ear, plus you can change the ear buds to suit you.
These have a wire that loosely fits around your head/neck to stop them from dropping. There are also a couple of very simple buttons on which stops and starts the music and changes the volume.
Interested?
These are fantastic for first time runners and for those training for their first half/full marathon. These products are easy to use and are beneficial for longer runs when needing to carry those extra bits and pieces. A seasoned runner, like myself, will enjoy the products just as much, especially if you’re looking to try something new or wanting extra kit. Who doesn’t want extra kit?
The headphones are good quality and seem quite resilient. Can be kept safe in their carry-case for when you next need to use them. They also come with some extra earbuds and instructions if you need them.
